Currently Iron Sink Media is producing the MySpace.com webisodic series "Roommates". Roommates is an interactive webisodic airing on MySpace.com about eight college roommates who have split up into two groups. The show is sponsored, in part, by Ford. Iron Sink Media's "Roommates" is the first original web series developed with MySpace.com.
In late 2006 the team created and launched the NoHoGirls, WeHoGirls and VanNuysGuys franchises for LiveVideo.com. The shows are interactive and revolve around groups of people who live together from the various neighborhoods of Los Angeles.
Story arcs in the NoHo drama are comprised of daily vlogging and video taping of events in the lives of the cast members. Conflicts and drama occur with the interactions with other groups who are portrayed as real residents of the areas they represent. The project ties in popular culture; clubs, fashion, current movie discussion, current events, etc. into the daily storyline to keep content fresh and current .
In January 2007, Iron Sink Media partnered with actor William Shatner to produce ShatnerVision, a daily video with William and his daughter, Lisabeth on various topics of interest to his fanbase. ShatnerVision videos can be found at ShatnerVision.com.
New York born Scott Zakarin is considered the godfather of online entertainment having created the first episodic Internet serial "The Spot" in 1995. Scott coined the term"webisodic" which has now become part of the vernacular of the entertainment industry. The Spot won the first Cool Site of the Year "Webby" award in 1995.
In 1996 Zakarin started a new company, Light Speed Media, which heralded a new form of interactiveentertainment on the web; comedy in his ground breaking webisodic "Grapejam" a fictional account of a comedy troupe reunited by the internet. Zakarin was dubbed the King of Sit.com by People Magazine in October 1996. Grapejam was nominated for the second 1996 Webby Awards.
From the success of "The Spot", Zakarin came to the attention of television legend Brandon Tartikoff. AOL's Greenhouse Studios purchased Light Speed Media and teamed Zakarin with Tartikoff to create "The Entertainment Asylum" which brought top celebrities and newsmakers to a live video show where the fans can interact. Zakarin was recognized by the Hollywood Reporter for his work on Entertainment Asylum for being one of the top 35 young executives under 35 on the rise, in Hollywood .
After Entertainment Asylum, Zakarin turned to more traditional media, calling on his filmmaking skills to direct and produce a variety of vertical genre movies which including the award-winning "Comic Book: The Movie" which won in 2005 best picture at Variety's DVD Exclusive Award as Best Live Action DVD, "Mind Meld" with science fiction icons William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy, and "Stan Lee's Mutants, Marvels and Monsters" with Spiderman creator Stan Lee and filmmaker Kevin Smith.
In 2005 Zakarin also Executive Produced E! Entertainment's "Kill Reality" television series which followed reality all stars acting in a horror movie. Zakarin was also a producer and co-writer of "The Scorned" movie which was the movie filmed during the series.
Zakarin directed and co-wrote the 2006 Internet webisodic phenomenon "Soup of the Day". Echo Bridge Home Entertainment released a 2 disc DVD set of "Soup of the Day" in February 2007. Zakarin also directed, wrote and produced "Charlie Cobb's FlashBash" which dominated the LiveVideo.com website in which it premiered in episodic format.
Paul Camuso, formerly of Boston has over 15 years of experience in the technology and software industry having spent several years living in London and working throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa for a division of IBM. He was one of the producers on "Kill Reality" and executive produced "The Scorned". In 2006 Paul was a producer on "Soup of the Day" and "Charlie Cobb's FlashBash".
Rob Cesternino from Long Island is known for his brilliant game play and sharp wit in "Survivor: Amazon" as well as "Survivor All-Stars". In 2004, he moved to Los Angeles to begin working at Creative Light Entertainment as part of "TheFishbowl.com".
In 2005, Cesternino appeared in the television series "Kill Reality" while writing and producing "The Scorned", which was the movie that was documented in the series. In 2006, Cesternino co-wrote and produced the webisodic series "Soup of the Day". Later in 2006, Rob was a writer and producer in another webisodic series "Charlie Cobb's FlashBash". Cesternino continued his work in online entertainment as a writer, producer and director for the NoHoGirls, WeHoGirls and VanNuysGuys.
Tim Pilleri, a native of Massachusetts has been with the Iron Sink crew from the beginning . He was co-producer and still photographer on their first film, "Soup of the Day". Tim starred in the 2006 film, "Charlie Cobb's Flashbash", as the lead role of "Kirby". In 2006, Tim had also played the lead role playing a killer for an indie film "Sunshine Away". Tim is continuing work with Iron Sink in the online phenomenon's NoHoGirls, WeHoGirls, and VanNuysGuys where he co-directs and produces as well as reprising his role as "Kirby" the cameraman.
Rounding out the Management Team is Alexander Cash. Al's responsibilities are many and he is so busy that he hasn't had time to provide us with a proper bio. He was lured out to Los Angeles by a good friend with promises of constant sunshine and great Mexican food. Al is a 1992 graduate of Binghamton University with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Physics.
